Jasper is a Senior Research Fellow in Participatory Practice at Coventry University. Until last year, Jasper was the Hate crime coordinator for the Greenwich Inclusion Project. He has several years of experience designing, delivering and evaluating community engagement projects on social and environmental justice at the local, national and international level. He founded the first multi-ethnic youth group in Lancaster, and developed innovative youth work in two marginal estates in the area. He has also facilitated youth participation projects with Refugees in London and Birmingham. Jasper has expertise in action research, where he has looked into hate crimes based on race or religion, racism in rural regions and developing social inclusive practice. In South India, he worked with two local NGOs and documented the how racism undermined human rights and the Rights to Food of marginalised groups in rural regions. He advocated for change at the local level and with policy-makers working with the Supreme Court of India.
