From Britain and Northern Ireland to Paris, Barcelona, and Africa, as well India and Palestine, this map is a continuous work-in-progress, charting the creative interruptions that our project coordinators and collaborators (artists, community groups, cultural institutions, researchers) have facilitated and hosted with local communities across the globe.
As our ethos is Community, Co-Creation, and Collaboration, we invite you to submit documentation of your creative interruptions that challenge exclusion. Materials accepted include links to videos, photographs, illustrations, audio files. Themes can include:
- inequalities and racism in the arts
- making differences between policies and practice in the art world
- engaging with the ideas of race, access, and representation
- ideas and opinions related to how art is used to tackle issues around race and/or class, and other inequalities
We are currently creating a form for this, in the meantime, please feel free to email any material to panayiota.demetriou@brunel.ac.uk. Email material with a title, creator name, and link to your site, location of interruption, and a brief of 225 characters. In the spirit of collaboration, please ensure that you have the rights to the artwork and any permissions from collaborators before submitting, and acknowledge this in your email to us.
